Experiencing India all over again

Have been wanting to write this one for a while but stuff keeps coming into the way.
So we finally moved out of the comfort zone into our rental apartment. Within no time we had a reality check. Since the apartment we moved into was brand new it had its own brand new problems. The taps in washing area were not working. So these guys had to break half a wall in the kitchen to figure it out. Then things work in corporate style. The guy who breaks does not collect the mess. The guy who collects the mess does not fix the hole. So I was dealing with three different levels to get one small thing fixed which should not have been broken in the first place.
Then it was the carpenters turn. The 10% work that needs to be finished is taking 90% of the time I guess. We have to keep calling/bugging/yelling for these guys to show up. The amazing part is he will always forget the most important tool he needs for the work and spend another 2 hours searching.
Next was the turn of interior decorator and his folks. His usual drill was "10 minute me bhijwsa deta hun (will send some one in 10 minutes)" and we would wait till end ot the day. This went on for a couple weeks until we got stuff done. While I am writing this a month later we still have couple things unfinsihed that we gave up on.
On the positive side my belongings arrived and the local movers came over to deliver. They were very eiffecient. Unload, Unpack, put all stuff together in about 7 hours. The only difference I witnessed was amount of people needed. Same job that was done by 4 folks in the US needed about 9 here.
