Customer Service:

Growing up this was the most painful part in India, lack of or even existence of customer service. It has turned around 180 degrees and I am taking a while to get used to this. Here nowadays you don’t go to the services, they come to you. For e.g. I wanted to buy a Blackberry so I was hopping a few shops and no one carried one. The next day my colleague says why would you go shopping, call them and they will come over. And that’s what I exactly did. Same thing with the Bank and the courier guy and so forth, they all show up at the office and mostly on time (20 to 30 minutes late is considered on time). I guess it will take me a little bit to get used to this and I hope I don’t get too used to this.

Also I still have not had to deal with government services yet and I am sure they will bring me back to reality. Or may be the reality has changed and I hope thats the case.
